Really Free: The Radical Art of Nellie Mae Rowe was listed in The New York Times’ Best Exhibitions of 2021.
Following its run at the High Museum of Art, the exhibition travels to The Brooklyn Museum, The Springfield (OH) Museum of Art, The Hunter Museum of American Art (Chattanooga, TN), The Montgomery (AL) Museum of Fine Arts, Lehigh University Art Galleries (Bethlehem, PA), and The California African American Museum (Los Angeles, CA), under the auspices of the Art Bridges Foundation in association with The High Museum of Art.
